Family members of our new Year 7 English Nurture Group have joined us in school for a fun, activity based learning session.

The new Nurture Group initiative, launched in September and currently on trial in our English Department, offers small-group learning opportunities to help identified students build confidence and literacy skills. So far, the initiative has proved hugely successful with members of the group celebrating rapid progress both in terms of improved academic achievement and raised self esteem.

To allow students to demonstrate their skills, family members joined students for an afternoon session with Miss Reynolds where all took part in a Roman shield making activity and students were also able to show parents how their new Chromebooks are used in lessons.
