Students and staff at King James I Academy are celebrating A-Level results following another very successful year.

Students have achieved excellent outcomes in both academic and vocational courses and are preparing for the next stage of their education, employment or training. A record number of students have gained their first-choice places at Universities such as York, Durham, Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield, Liverpool and Northumbria.

Students have excelled in a broad range of subjects with 67% of students achieving the new gold standard in one or more subjects (A/A* at A' Level or Distinction* in an Applied General qualification).

There are many success stories, but it is worth noting the significant success achieved by the following students, and their chosen career pathways:

Daniel B achieved an A* in Mathematics, a Distinction* in Business Studies, a B in Further Mathematics together with an A-Level in Physics. Daniel will attend York University to study Mathematics.

Charlotte B achieved an A in Applied Science as well as Distinction* in Health and Social Care and B grades in both A-Level Art and Geography. Charlotte is keen to continue her studies at King James.

Ryan B celebrates A* performance in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics, as well as his achievement in A-Level Physics. Ryan is keen to move into Higher Education to further his study of Mathematics.

Laura P achieved an A in Applied Science as well as Distinction* in Health and Social Care and B grades in both Sociology and Psychology. Laura will continue her studies at York University with a Degree in Psychology.

Rebecca D achieved a triple Distinction* in Sports Studies and a B grade in A-Level Art. She is currently considering an offer of a place on a teaching course at Durham University.

Ellen D has secured a place studying Mathematics and Sport at Loughborough having achieved a double Distinction* in Sport and an A grade in A-Level Mathematics.

King James prides itself on the level of support it offers its students and has, once again, been successful in helping its students to take their next step on their chosen career pathway.

We would like to thank our students and their parents for their support and hard work. We would also like to thank the teachers who have worked tirelessly to help our children to achieve success.

Good luck to all of our students as they build upon the success they have celebrated on results day.
