Year 12 A-Level Maths student, Iwan M has once again, celebrated success on the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust's follow-on 'Senior Kangaroo' round.

Only 3,900 students across the UK were invited to take part in this prestigious mathematics challenge, and Iwan was one of those specially invited following his extremely successful round in the individual Maths challenge which took place in November 2015. Iwan achieved a score well above the national average for this round and gained a Certificate of Merit, which was reserved for the top 25% of participants nationally.

Mrs Glen, who has been teaching Iwan for the last four years, said, " Iwan has a natural mathematical ability, and it has been a pleasure to help him cultivate his understanding of more complex mathematical topics. He often looks to solve mathematical problems using a variety of different strategies, including some non-traditional methods. His understanding of mathematics is extremely impressive."
