We are currently experiencing technical issues with timetables on ClassCharts, we hope to get this resolved quickly.

Crook Primary pupils proved themselves to be excellent readers.

In our Library, Year 5 Primary School pupils from Crook Primary have been taking part in the King James Book Awards, which is part of our Primary School Education Challenge Zone.

A group of ten pupils joined us for the session where they began by reading from a selection of five books. They then wrote reviews about their favourite and competed in a fun quiz and spelling bee based on the book they had read. In a final activity they completed a piece of drama based on a scene taken from one of the books.

All students worked extremely hard throughout the challenge and proved to be enthusiastic and talented readers. For their efforts, each student received a prize of a book bag and badges with our ‘I Love Reading’ logo.

Pupils from St Andrews and Victoria Lane Primary schools will also be taking part in the challenge in the near future. We look forward to welcoming them into our Academy.
