25/05/2020 - KJ Linked Issue 8 released!

As you will have seen, the Government is encouraging secondary schools to consider a partial return for Year 10 and Year 12 students from Monday 1st June 2020. Our view continues to be that it is important that we take appropriate, extensive and considered actions to assure the safety of all members of our school community to make the right decision at the right time.

Issue 7 of KJ Linked - Keeping Our Community Connected

Welcome to Issue 7 of KJ Linked. This week, the Government has confirmed that our isolation efforts as a nation are beginning to make a difference in controlling COVID-19, and in small steps, we can now begin to venture out more. This is great news, but we must still follow the guidelines and limit our contact with others.

Of course we want you to continue with your work on Class Charts but it is also important to take time for yourself to relax and share your feelings with family and friends, so don’t forget to keep in touch by telephone, social media and email.

As is usual, we have packed this issue full of fun activities to help keep you and your family occupied and active during the isolation period. Many of the ideas have come direct from our staff so take a look inside to see what your teachers have been doing at home with their family. It might inspire you!

Next week, we’ll announce the winner of our ‘Guess the Owner’ pet competition, and our animal loving team of staff would love to see photographs of your pets too so please send them to kingjames@kj1a.com. Remember that if you are in the photograph we need consent from a parent or carer to publish it in KJ Linked.

Until next week, stay positive, stay safe and stay well.
