KJ Linked - Weekly Learning Toolkit

25/05/2020 - KJ Linked Issue 8 released!

As you will have seen, the Government is encouraging secondary schools to consider a partial return for Year 10 and Year 12 students from Monday 1st June 2020. Our view continues to be that it is important that we take appropriate, extensive and considered actions to assure the safety of all members of our school community to make the right decision at the right time.

KJ Linked - Issue 5

May 2020

Welcome to Issue 5 of KJ Linked. As we begin week 7 of lockdown it is good to hear in the news that our efforts to stop the spread of Covid-19 as a nation are working. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before the government announce their plan to relax the restrictions but until then, we must continue to follow the guidelines and stay at home.

In this issue we wanted to thank all of our students and parents for their efforts in completing the tasks assigned to them on Class Charts. We appreciate that home schooling is challenging in many ways, but we are proud to say that our students are showing great resilience and motivation, managing their workload and working continuously to a high standard. This issue celebrates some of their achievements.

As is usual we have also come up with some ideas to help you stay occupied in the coming weeks from free online courses to virtual tours and quiz nights.

Don’t forget, we would love to hear your lockdown stories and see photos of all the things you have been doing at home to keep busy; this keeps us connected and your activities could inspire others.

Just email your contributions to kingjames@kj1a.com with consent from a parent or carer to use them and you could feature in the next

issue. Until then, stay positive, stay safe and stay home.
