Students and staff from King James paid homage to the fallen at the memorial within the school grounds on Armistice Day.

Colonel Alex Johnson MBE of the Royal Engineers laid the wreath, accompanied by Mr Black, our Resistant Materials teacher and Lieutenant Colonel and Commanding Officer of 102 Battalion Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in the TA.

The students pictured with Colonel Johnson are all taking part in our World War I Centenary Project. A passage was read by Mr Grieveson, which was followed by a live performance of the "Last Post" on the trumpet by Fiona Casewell and then the dedication by Colonel Johnson MBE.
