BATH Making a Difference in Jamaica

April 2014

During the Easter holidays, following an exhausting 36 hour journey, 21 members of BATH in Years 9-13 arrived in Montego Bay for the annual Jamaica Difference visit. This trip saw the culmination of the inspiring BATHroom Project, which involved building and decorating toilet and washroom facilities for pupils at Brightley Beam Pre-School. Previously, the school had none at all.

Fundraising Hair and Beauty

Sixth Form students Amy C, Jade H, Chloe S and Shaunnie T, who are all members of the Bishop Auckland Theatre Hooligans were involved in a hairdressing and makeover photographic session recently at Trimmers Hair Design, in support of a Jamican Fun Night at Bishop Auckland Rugby Club.

Hooligans in Ireland!

March 2013

Ireland 2013 was an amazing week of friendship, fun and laughter for King James students who are members of the Bishop Auckland Theatre Hooligans. Over 40 young people along with 13 staff and volunteers stayed for the 7th year running in the beautiful village of Glengarriff in County Cork.

First Class Act

Year 12 Drama students and staff from King James I Academy travelled to BBC Scotland in Glasgow on 5th December 2012 to take part as audience members in a live studio recording of the fantastic new BBC comedy sketch show.
