Four of our Year 10 students have taken part in the Advanced Maths Support Programme's annual Math Feast at Durham University. The national Maths Feast initiative is a fun educational challenge for Year 10 students which tests problem-solving and teamworking skills.

The Advanced Mathematics Support Programme provides support for teachers and students in schools across the UK. To take part in the challenge, teams of four students must test their maths skills with an 'all-you-can-eat' feast of problems, and there are several rounds, each requiring different skills and strategies for success.

At the event at Durham University our students, TJ, Alex, Rufus, and Isaac, worked well throughout the competition and represented the school well by displaying excellent teamwork and problem solving skills in all challenges. This is just one of the many opportunities for learning outside of the classroom that our Maths department organises to enrich the student experience at King James.
