Mrs Aitkin, our Deputy Headteacher, has raised an amazing £650 for Prostate Cancer UK by completing the Great North Run. She chose this charity for personal reasons, running in memory of her Uncle Phil who died from the disease at just 62 years old.

This is the fourth time Mrs Aitkin has taken part in the iconic annual half marathon, which spreads over 13.1 miles through Newcastle, Gateshead and South Tyneside. She has previously raised funds for Cancer Research, Brain Tumour Research and Cystic Fibrosis, all of which have personal meaning.
