Issue 12 of KJ Linked - Keeping Our Community Connected

Welcome to Issue 12 of KJ Linked, our Academy newsletter designed to keep us connected whilst restrictions continue.

Last week we were delighted to reopen our doors to students in Years 10 and 12, and see them enjoying lessons once more. We were proud to see our students adapting quickly to the strategies in place to keep everyone safe. One-way systems and socially distanced classroom layouts worked extremely well, and students made excellent progress in their allocated sessions. Teaching resources from all lessons are available on Class Charts for students who were unable to attend school.

Soon we will be launching Google Meet online lessons to provide an even better learning experience for our students. You can read more about this in Mr Grieveson’s update on page 2.

This week you could celebrate ‘National Cream Tea Day’ with our perfect scone recipe, write a comedy masterpiece with free resources from the BBC or put on your trainers and compete in the latest events for our ‘Virtual Sports Day’. There’s plenty of other activities too.

Don’t forget to share your stories and photographs by emailing them to with consent from a parent or carer to publish.

Until next week, stay productive and stay positive!
