KJ Linked - Weekly Learning Toolkit

25/05/2020 - KJ Linked Issue 8 released!

As you will have seen, the Government is encouraging secondary schools to consider a partial return for Year 10 and Year 12 students from Monday 1st June 2020. Our view continues to be that it is important that we take appropriate, extensive and considered actions to assure the safety of all members of our school community to make the right decision at the right time.

Issue 4 of KJ Linked - Keeping Our Community Connected

We hope you are all managing to stay motivated and positive during this period of lockdown, but if you are searching for suggestions to occupy your

time, this newsletter is packed full of ideas to suit all ages.

Now, more than ever, it’s important for us to maintain the lockdown and try to remain positive, but it’s difficult when we are all away from friends and family and have been forced to give up many of the activities we love so much.

However, lockdown offers us all the opportunity to learn something new or to do something that we have been thinking about for a while but haven’t had the time.

Many organisations are offering free courses or access to resources to support us whilst we are all in isolation. From free magazines to courses in First Aid and Creative Writing, if we all use the extra time constructively, we will emerge from lockdown a better nation.

We hope that KJ Linked offers a little light relief during these difficult times and inspires you to take up a new hobby or activity.

Remember, we would love to hear your lockdown stories and see your photos; just email your contributions to kingjames@kj1a.com with consent from a parent or carer to use them and you could feature in the next issue. Until then, stay positive, stay safe and stay home.
