Our Media department has been working on a new film project called King James Story Time, a reading show where students read story books for young children.

Inspired by Cbeebies Bedtime Stories, students read illustrated storybooks on camera, and film footage is then edited together with music, sound effects and illustrations from the book to create a finished product. Videos will be uploaded to the Academy website to allow access by local nursery groups, primary schools and the wider community.

The first book, read by Year 13 student Lewis H, pictured here, is the award-winning Black Dog by Levi Pinfold. The department hopes to produce a new video each half term, themed around the season, so plans are already underway for a Halloween story with a different guest reader.
