Mindfulness high on the agenda at King James

We recognise that some of our students have issues that they find hard to deal with, so each student will take part in mindfulness workshops in our period six sessions.

In the next academic year, students will deliver assemblies to each other on mental health and wellbeing and Tutors will use a mindful calendar in Tutor time to prepare students for the start of the day. Mindful colouring, shown here, is one of the activities that will be used to help reduce anxiety and focus the mind as students are fully engaged on something productive. The activity is effective for all ages.
