A group of 24 lucky Year 7 Languages students have visited the Spanish Gallery in the Market Place for free.

The visit to the town's newest attraction was all thanks to their prize-winning classmate, Alexander A, who won a competition to name Bishop Auckland’s newest restaurant, El Castillo. Complimentary entry to the gallery for Alex and his peers was only part of the prize. Students were able to admire and learn about Francisco de Zurbarán’s series of Spanish masterpieces which have been housed in Auckland Castle for over 250 years.
