KJ Linked - Weekly Learning Toolkit

29/06/2020 - KJ Linked Issue 13 released!

As you will have seen, the Government is encouraging secondary schools to consider a partial return for Year 10 and Year 12 students from Monday 1st June 2020. Our view continues to be that it is important that we take appropriate, extensive and considered actions to assure the safety of all members of our school community to make the right decision at the right time.

Issue 11 of KJ Linked - Keeping Our Community Connected

Hello and welcome to Issue 11 of KJ Linked, the newsletter designed to keep us connected throughout the Covid-19 crisis.

This issue features some exciting news from Mr Grieveson on page 2 about the new qualifications for post-16 students. It also celebrates the excellent achievements of our students.

Although as a nation we are still in crisis, we have much to feel positive about. The Government’s ‘Test and Trace’ system is now underway, restrictions are being relaxed to allow us to enjoy some much needed facetoface contact with our loved ones, and more businesses are opening, which will greatly help our economy.

Importantly, our Academy is tentatively reopening its doors to students in Years 10 and 12 this week, and we hope that our students will both enjoy and appreciate the structure it will bring to their week.

As always, KJ Linked has plenty of recommended activities for you to enjoy at home with your family, from baking and creating art, to listening to music and organising a quiz night.

You can share your stories and photographs by emailing them to kingjames@kj1a.com with consent from a parent or carer to publish.

Until next week, stay safe, stay well, stay positive, and remember that things are getting better!
