KJ Linked - Weekly Learning Toolkit

25/05/2020 - KJ Linked Issue 8 released!

As you will have seen, the Government is encouraging secondary schools to consider a partial return for Year 10 and Year 12 students from Monday 1st June 2020. Our view continues to be that it is important that we take appropriate, extensive and considered actions to assure the safety of all members of our school community to make the right decision at the right time.

Issue 6 of KJ Linked - Keeping Our Community Connected

Welcome to Issue 6 of KJ Linked. In this issue, alongside a host of ideas to help you stay positive and busy in lockdown, we focus

on the next steps for Year 6 pupils who will be joining the Academy in September.

At the moment, we are still unsure what will be happening during the next term so we thought it would be a good idea to introduce key members of staff and let them tell you a little bit about themselves.

During the coming weeks, we will be focussing on different aspects of the transition to King James and answering any questions that Year 6 pupils and their families might have about starting at the Academy. As always, we are looking forward to welcoming our new students as they start on the next stage of their school career. If you have any queries regarding transition, please email them to kingjames@kj1a.com

This issue also features a ‘Guess the Pet Owner’ competition. Take a look at all our furry friends and see if you can guess which member of staff they are in lockdown with! Email your answers to kingjames@kj1a.com and the winner will be the student who has got the most right. In the event of a draw, we will draw a name at random. The winner will receive a £20 voucher for Amazon.

Remember to also share your lockdown stories and photos by sending them to the email address above with consent from a parent or carer to use them. Until then, stay positive, stay safe and stay home.
