KJ Linked - Weekly Learning Toolkit

25/05/2020 - KJ Linked Issue 8 released!

As you will have seen, the Government is encouraging secondary schools to consider a partial return for Year 10 and Year 12 students from Monday 1st June 2020. Our view continues to be that it is important that we take appropriate, extensive and considered actions to assure the safety of all members of our school community to make the right decision at the right time.

Issue 3 of KJ Linked - Keeping Our Community Connected

We hope you have all had a good Easter and are safe and well at home with your family.

As the Government has now confirmed a further three weeks of lockdown we must continue to work from home and try our best to remain positive, motivated and productive. Eventually, we will return to school and lessons will begin again, but until then we can stay on track by working together.

For now, it’s time to log on to Class Charts once more and see the new tasks and learning resources which have been uploaded by our Teachers. It’s important to make sure that all students stay up-to date with the tasks set as the work supports learning which will take place on our return.

We appreciate that home learning can be particularly challenging for our students but each has direct email contact with their teachers so they can ask questions and submit work.

We hope this newsletter offers a little light relief during these difficult times and inspires you to keep busy and stay positive.

Don’t forget, we would love to hear your lockdown stories and see your photos; just email your contributions to kingjames@kj1a.com with consent from a parent or carer to use them and you could feature in the next issue. Until then, stay positive, stay safe.
