Deaf Awareness Week 2018

Monday 14th May sees the beginning of Deaf Awareness Week 2018, a national campaign to raise awareness about hearing loss and promote alternative methods of communication.

Throughout the week students will be considering the issues faced by people with hearing loss and taking taking part in a variety of activities during form time. They will have the opportunity to learn a little about British Sign language and finger spelling techniques, and they will also consider how we communicate through hand gestures, facial expression and body language.
