We are delighted to announce that five of our talented Music students have won the prestigious "My Money Week' competition which is run by "Young Enterprise'. As part of their prize, they are now looking forward to an all-expenses paid overnight stay in London, accompanied by their families.

This year the competition launched the first audio competition, challenging secondary school students to write and perform their own "Musical Money Mix'. Working together as a group, Year 11 students, Kyle B, Jordan C, Nicole W, Ben H and Jessica S wrote and performed the song which has now been selected from hundreds of entries as the overall winner in the Key Stage 3 and 4 category.

Elle Cradock, Projects Co-ordinator with Young Enterprise said, "We have thoroughly enjoyed listening to the entries, there's definitely some very talented young singers and song writers out there!"

The five group members are now looking forward to attending the My Money Week Competition Winners Event, which is being held at the end of October at the House of Commons. At the Prize Giving they will be able to see some of the other entries and receive their prize of £500 for King James and a £50 personal voucher each. Well done to everyone for their hard work and excellent achievement.
