Year 10 students, Logan, Micah, Adam, Kyle, Jordan, Ellie-Mai, Jade and Ben help launch our Christmas Food Bank appeal.

We have launched a Food Bank Appeal to help support our local community as Christmas approaches. Donations will be delivered to the Food Bank at Woodhouse Close Church and Community Centre, which directly supports residents in Bishop Auckland and the surrounding villages.

We will be running the appeal during the lead up to Christmas, and as this is a particularly financially demanding time of year, many local people will benefit from these donations.

John Wiseman, Woodhouse Close Food Bank Coordinator said, "This appeal has come at exactly the right time of year, as we are expecting an increase in demand especially now that the cold weather has arrived and Christmas is just around the corner. We have worked with King James in the past and are always grateful for their continued support."

Mr Grieveson said, "Although excellent education is our priority, we also recognise the importance of encouraging our young people to get involved in the area in which they live. Helping others is a fundamental characteristic of King James as a school and I am proud of the charitable contributions made by our students throughout the year."
