Students heard about the diverse range of courses on offer for those planning a career in the Arts.

Art, Photography and Media students in Year 10 have recently enjoyed a trip to Cleveland College of Art and Design (CCAD) to investigate the wide range of creative degree courses on offer.

Accompanied by Mrs Aitkin, our Director of Learning for Art, students were given a tour of the campus and the studio facilities before speaking to a number of lecturers within each specialist department, including Illustration, Graphics, Photography, Fine Art and Film Making. Lecturers spoke about the wide variety of exciting careers available in the creative industries, and what students could expect from a degree course should they choose to study at CCAD.

Overall it was an inspiring visit and one which will ultimately help our young people to make informed choices about their future. Visits such as these help students to focus on their ambitions and to begin making plans to ensure they achieve their goals.
