Students across all year groups were given the opportunity to visit the Careers Fair throughout the day.

Students in all year groups, including our Sixth Form, have enjoyed a Careers Fair this week, attended by representatives from a number of local businesses, national organisations, colleges and universities.

The event, which was organised by Mrs Dent, gave our students the opportunity to fully consider the options available to them in the future and to begin planning a progression route to help ensure they achieve their career ambitions.

Students talked to representatives from various colleges including East Durham, Bishop Auckland and New College Durham, and advisors from Newcastle, Durham, Sunderland, Northumbria and Teesside Universities, about the range of higher and further education courses available. They also discussed the entry requirements for specific courses to help them focus on gaining the necessary qualifications in the crucial years ahead.

Businesses including Gestamp, Hathaway's, Tallents, Itec, EE and Esh Group were also on hand to discuss the variety of job roles on offer within their company and to explain the opportunities available for those seeking an apprenticeship. Students were also keen to hear about the range of opportunities and the recruitment process from representatives of the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force.

We would like to thank the organisations involved for their support in helping to make our Careers Fair such a huge success. For more photographs of the event, please visit our website gallery.
