Mr Grieveson gave The Mayor a guided tour of our new building.

Former student and Mayor of Bishop Auckland, Cllr. Lee Brownson has recently visited our academy to share his memories of student life at King James.

The Mayor was keen to view the exciting new facilities our school has to offer both our students and our local community. Pictured here with Mr Grieveson, he enjoyed a guided tour of our new building and heard about the final stages of the development, including the refurbishment of Middle School and the planned landscaping and new sports pitches. He also enjoyed the opportunity to revisit some of the classrooms where he spent many of his teenage years and took time to reminisce with three of his former teachers, Mrs Dent, Mr Shearer and Mr Johnston.

The Mayor praised the new facilities at King James and commented on the range of new opportunities for learning and leisure that they offer our young people and our local residents. On September 30th, he will join us once again to officially open and rename Middle School as The Agnew Building.
