Students were impressed by York St. John's historic city campus.

Year 12 students have visited York St. John University as part of Mr Shearer's 'Aim Higher' programme, which takes students to various UK cities and on guided campus tours throughout the year.

At York St. John the group took part in various activities to help them fully consider course options and therefore make informed choices. Mary Ann T, who attended the trip to York said, "I really enjoyed the experience. York is a vibrant and friendly city with lots to do and the university is amazing. After experiencing the atmosphere both in and around the campus, I am really excited about going to uni and feel much more confident about moving away from home and about applying too."

The next Aim Higher trip for Sixth Formers will be taking place in January, when Drama and Performing Arts students will travel to London to visit the Central School of Speech & Drama and enjoy a guided tour of The National Theatre.
