Kara M, Daniel W, Megan Baker, Reece H, Sarah H, Bethany M, Aidan S, Chloe F and Charley B achieved excellent A Level results.

Students are once again celebrating after another successful year of Sixth Form study. Year 13 students have achieved particularly well and all students have gained the necessary qualifications to support them as they move into Higher Education, training or employment.

A-Level achievement in Art, Photography, Business, Performing Arts, Science and Geography were particularly worthy of note, as was the achievement of all students in a range of "substantial' vocational qualifications including Business, Sport, Music, Health & Social Care, Childcare, Media and Travel & Tourism. Positive achievement in Year 12 in many subjects will allow younger students to continue their studies and will make next year similarly successful. Caitlin G and Paige M achieved well across a range of Year 12 subjects and reflected outstanding achievement in Mathematics, Law and Physics.

Star performers, in Year 13, included Kara M (A* in Performing Arts, A in Business and A in Applied Science) and Daniel W (A* in Art, A* Photography and Distinction* in Media). It is worth noting that many other students achieved similar success and that all those who wish to go to University gained a place on a course of their choice.

King James prides itself on ensuring that all students are well supported and have the opportunity to make progress into Higher Education and ultimately into the career of their choice. Once again, Sarah Newton (Aimhigher Coordinator), Anne Goddard (Progression Tutor) and Linda Dixon (award-winning Sixth Form Mentor) have worked tirelessly to support our students and to ensure that they achieve their potential. These staff, together with a dedicated Sixth Form Tutor Team, help King James to recruit an ever increasing number of students into our Sixth Form. Students are attracted by the high level of support and the quality of the personalised programmes which are supported and led by David Shearer our Head of Sixth Form.

We would like to pay tribute to the hard work of our students and to the parents and teachers who have contributed to this year's success. Good luck to all of our students as they move on to pastures new; we shall look forward to welcoming you back to our Prize Evening in December.
