Mr Walton presents Rory and Dean with a Raspberry Pi for their hard work at the event.

Our ICT department recently ran a workshop for primary school teachers to investigate the use of the Raspberry Pi and Python programming in education. The event was well attended and support from our Computer Science Champions ensured it was a success.

Our Year 10 ICT students played an important part in delivering the training, both by assisting Mr Walton, our Director of Learning for ICT and in supporting our visitors throughout the session. Mr Walton was extremely impressed and commended the boys, Rory G and Dean W, for the excellent level of professional support they gave.

"The boys were superb at supporting this event," he said. "I was very proud of their abilities and of the way they supported our primary colleagues. Both have received a Raspberry Pi of their own for their hard work and commitment."
