Monday 25th November, saw Mrs Barlow and her elite Boccia Team win the first game of the Boccia season 7-3. The King James team travelled to Consett to play a tough game against Villa Real.

King James took an early lead and lengthened the score line as Villa Real started to get back into the game. Joseph W played extremely well and earned the title of Man of the Match. Students from each team took part in refereeing the games and taking score, whilst others from their prospective teams played.

This is an excellent start for Mrs Barlow, Mr Blackburn and their talented Boccia players as they get points on the board so early in the season, especially against such a good side.

Mrs Barlow, Boccia Co-ordinator, said: "Our students played really well. Hopefully they can keep this up throughout the season and ensure the trophy stays at King James."
