During the summer holidays, a group of eight students from Years 10, 11 and 12, spent 17 days in Florida on the fifth Enterprise USA trip, which is organised by Mr Brown and Miss Howard.

Members of the group achieved their place on the trip following a rigorous written application and interview process. Successful applicants then took part in fundraising activities to help fund the visit.

Once in Florida, the group worked on a science project with local primary schools and visited the NASA Kennedy Space Centre, where they were fortunate enough to meet Brazilian Astronaut, Marcos Pontes. The group also spent three days in a log cabin in the wilds of the state where, despite high hopes, they did not get to see any of the Brown bears reported to inhabit the local area!

The amazing trip also included visits to some of the most famous tourist attractions in Florida such as Daytona Beach and Coco Beach, and a number of fun days at Harry Potter World, Universal Studios and the famous water parks of Florida.
