At the beginning of November, Mr Middleton and some Year 9 students were invited to County Hall to present their findings of a year-long "Religious Enquiry" project.

The project involved the group meeting members of different Faiths, interviewing them and visiting some places of worship on a visit to Leeds.

Megan W, Kennedy A and Brendan H were involved in the project from the start and told the Durham SACRE (Standing Advisory Committee for Religious Education what had been involved and what they personally had got out it.

"The pupils further developed their Thinking and Enquiry Skills as well as experiencing people and places they never had the chance to before. There was a real buzz around the group and that enthusiasm has rubbed-off on others" commented Mr Middleton.

The RE Department hope to continue with similar project and opportunities throughout Curriculum time in Key Stage 3 and also through the Academy's Enrichment time.
