Win at Bishop Auckland Town Team Youth Awards

Lucas received the Sporting Achievemnet Award and the Mayor's Medal from Councillor David Fleming.

We celebrated a grand total of seven nominations at the Bishop Auckland Town Team Youth Awards 2018, which recognises the achievements of young people in our area.

Judges selected four outstanding individuals and one team, who all received special awards from our Mayor, Councillor David Fleming at the presentation evening; this was held at Bishop Auckland Town Hall.

King James student, Franco B, pictured here, was chosen to receive the overall Sporting Achievement Award for his many successes in the world of motorbike racing. Franco, who has been riding motorbikes since he was just six years old, was presented with the ‘Mayor’s Medal’.

Other nominees from King James, who all received a certificate in recognition of their achievements, included Academy teams, 'My Money Week', 'NECOP', 'RTS' and 'Fundraising for Demi-Leigh'; and individual students, Kennedy A and Leon D, who is building a name for himself in competitive Trampolining. Congratulations to everyone.
